This special project by Giorgio Colutta embodies the spirit of Friulian whites: full of personality and texture, but never at the price of freshness or lift. A 50/50 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and the native Friulano, every measure is taken to ensure balance. When treated well, as it is here, Friulano can showcase a rich, waxy texture that beautifully balances the energetic acidity of Sauvignon Blanc. The resulting wine is aromatically complex with white peach, pear, golden apple and a whiff of flowers; on the palate, the soil's mineral composition translates to a mineral backbone that supports the grapes' richness.
