G.D. Vajra - Albe Barolo - 2019 (750ml)

G.D. Vajra is only now beginning to receive their due acclaim. The unspoken leaders of the "natural" approach within Barolo (albeit still the minority), their wines are consistently some of the most generous in the region - both in their expression and their quality. 

The Albe bottling is sourced from three vineyards of different altitudes and exposures, creating complexity and balance. Ripe cherry, rose petal, and savory herb on the nose. The palate carries red cherry, licorice, and earth, finishing with compact tannins. An excellent choice for those who prefer the vibrancy and grip of young Nebbiolo, as it is ready to drink now but will also reward several more years in the bottle. For value in Barolo, Vajra simply can't be beat.
