Suntory - Whiskey Toki (750 ml)

Round and nuanced, Suntory Toki is an excellent standard for entry-level Japanese whiskey. It is a blend of whiskeys from all three of Suntory's distilleries - Yamazaki, Hakushu and Chita - predominantly featuring Hakushu single malt and Chita grain whisky. The nose is soft and layered with pear blossom, green apple, lemon balm, and light honey notes. Green grape, crisp green apple, and grapefruit flesh are prominent on the palate, leading into Alpine herbs, almond cake, and warming oak. Notes of white pepper and ginseng complement lingering oak in the finish. The soft and delicate nature of this whiskey make it ideal for drinking on its own, whether with a large ice cube or just a couple drops of water - either will open up some sweeter aromas, yet mask some sweetness on the palate.
