Master distiller Don Carlos established Tepozan with the goal of creating a truly hand-crafted Tequila in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Their estate-grown blue agaves are organically farmed, hand-harvested, double-distilled, and for the Reposado, aged for 6 months in Kentucky Bourbon barrels of American white oak. They are then diluted with local, volcanically filtered water, and bottled on-premises. Direct notes of honey-grilled lemon and bitter orange, sweet pepper, and saffron custard comprise the nose, developing into brown sugar-broiled pineapple, savory herbs, and toasted sweet spices on the palate. A comforting and intricate Reposado to enjoy on its own or over a large rock, you can also treat it the way you would Bourbon in an Old Fashioned or make a very serious Margarita.
